Our team
Van Pelt Construction is located in Oak Harbor, Washington and services Island, Skagit, and the surround Counties. We have six-member team headed by the founder, Matt Van Pelt. Project management is handled by Matt, Marvin, and Zach Van Pelt. Caleb, Jacob, Todd along with Matt, Marvin, and Zach provide the backbone and execution of projects!
Our history
After retiring from the United States Navy with 20+ years of service, Matthew Van Pelt founded Van Pelt Construction in 2015. Growing up, Matthew worked in construction helping his step-dad in the electrical business and later in life gained experiences in framing, drywall, tiling, painting, and plumbing. Originally Van Pelt Construction started as a local handyman business but with the growing demand for high quality work, the business grew into a full-scale construction company. Today we now employee six full-time employees with a combined experience of over 140 years in construction. We are a fully licensed, insured, and bonded General Contracting business that seeks to provide the high quality work to those in our surrounding area.
